Police Mock Drills create Panic

SRINAGAR: The police preparedness drill to oversee the security preparedness created panic in the parts of Srinagar city on early Friday morning with rumor mongers adding to the chaos. Residents were surprised to see heavy contingents of security forces deployed in different parts of the city.

It is worth mentioning that yesterday on 29th March, Thursday 2012 Mock drills conducted by police in South Kashmir Districts of Shopian, Kulgam and Pulwama districts in south Kashmir created panic among residents.
While most of the residents assumed that it was an anti-militancy operation, the unemployed youth swarmed around the police headquarters as rumours about on spot recruitment became rife. (KMW NEWS)
