PDP-BJP Leaders meet Governor to form Coalition Government

JAMMU, MARCH 26: Ms. Mehbooba Mufti, Leader of PDP Legislature Party, accompanied by Mr. Muzaffar Hussain Baig, and Mr. Tariq Hameed Karra, PDP M.P.s and Dr. Nirmal Singh, Leader of BJP Legislature Party, called on Governor N.N. Vohra, here at the Raj Bhavan today.
The Leaders of the two Parties handed over separate letters to the Governor. The PDP letter conveys the resolution of the Legislators of J&K PDP to elect Ms. Mehbooba Mufti as its Legislature Party Leader and nominating her for the position of Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. Shri Sat Sharma, State President of BJP has, in his letter to the Governor, informed that the Legislative Party of BJP, J&K, has decided to extend support to PDP in the formation of the BJP-PDP coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir.
Ms. Mehbooba Mufti and Prof. Nirmal Singh informed the Governor that they were engaged in discussions and would very soon intimate to him about the mutually convenient date on which the Coalition Government could be installed.
