Oct 27 darkest day in Kashmir history: Salahuddin

Srinagar: Describing 27th October as the darkest day in the history of Kashmir, United Jehad Council Chairman, Syed Sallahuddin has said that on this day in 1947 India forced its illegal occupation in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to a statement issued here, Salahuddin while addressing a meeting of the United Jihad Council Thursday said that India has violated all rights of the people of and the People of Kashmir has never accepted the illegal occupation of India.
“For last 65 years India has tried its best to suppress the voices of people of Kashmir. 5 lakh people achieved martyrdom, lakhs got injured, thousands became orphans and widows while hundreds of women were sexually assaulted in Kashmir”, reads the Statement.
The UJC chief has said that on one side Indian troops are in occupation of the forests and agricultural land and on the other hand India is singing tunes of ‘Dialogue’.
He the militants and everyone associated with the freedom struggle aware of the real face of India and no one will be allowed to quell the ongoing struggle.
According to the statement issued here, Salahudin has said that Delhi under the shadow of Amarnath cave wants to establish ‘Amaranth city’ in the valley and people of Kashmir and Militants will never allow this to happen. He reiterated the commitment of continuous struggle until to its logical conclusions.
Felicitating the people on the eve of Eid-u- Azha, he has said that the people should remember the needy people while celebrating the festival.
