Modi said here on Wednesday that by joining hands with Lalu Prasad and Congress, Nitish Kumar deceived the Janasangh-BJP top leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee whose role was important in induction of Kumar into the union government twice and in making him a chief minister. With the conduct of Nitish Kumar the sole of Atal Bihari Vajpayee must be in pain, he quipped.
He said that former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the present Prime Minister Narendra Modi both were pracharak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and were committed towards the similar ideologies but Kumar only to instigated division in BJP was praising Atal Bihari Vajpayee and criticising Narendra Modi. He said that the intention of Nitish Kumar would never succeed.
Modi said that had the NDA government led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee enjoyed absolute majority it would have revoked article 370 and had removed the obstructions in construction of Ram temple at that time only.
He said BJP was always united right from Atal- Advani till Modi-Shah era and it never gave up its basic issues.
Modi said those who unfurled Tricolor on the Red Fort in 2014 came to power again in 2019 and the same government would be restored in 2024 with more strength. He suggested Kumar not to remain in confusion.
