NIA Arrests 1 More in Lethpora Attack Case

Srinagar, April 6: NIA today arrested another youth Syed Hilal Andrabi, 35, in connection with Lethpora attack that was carried out in the intervening night of 30-31.12.2017 by JeM militants. All three militants were killed in the encounter in which five CRPF personnel were killed and three others seriously injured.
According to an NIA handout, Hilal Andrabi is an active OGW (Over Ground Worker) of Jaish.
“He is a key conspirator who provided logistic support in the form of sheltering the terrorists and conducting reconnaissance of the CRPF Group centre, Lethpora before the terrorist attack,” said the NIA statement.
“With the arrest of Syed Hilal Andrabi, total no of accused arrested in this case has risen to four. Three accused already arrested for being a part of the conspiracy for this attack include Fayaz Ahmad Magrey r/o Lethpora, Awantipora, Manzoor Ahmed Bhat r/o Pampore, Awantipora and Nisar Ahmed Tantray r/o Dar Ganai Gund,Tral, Awantipora.”
