Denouncing the “seditious” remarks of activist Yana Mir aka Suhani Yana Mirchandani wherein she justified the Extramarital affair, Mufti Azam Jammu & Kashmir Mufti Nasir ul Islam said such statements amounts to adultery and is totally prohibited and punishable in the jurisprudence of Islam.
Pertinently, a girl who claims herself an activist, while protesting against the acid throwing incident in Srinagar, had stated “women has every right to opt for divorce, to break the engagement and even to have a boyfriend even after the marriage.”
The remarks made by the girl identified as Yana Mir aka Suhani Yana Mirchandani erupted a massive outrage among the citizensin Kashmir, and demanded strict action against the girl for trampling the religious sentiment and attempt to torching the social fabric of Kashmir society.
Condemning the remarks of “multi religious identical girl” Mufti Nasir ul Islam said such statements of propaganda will never ever be allowed in a Muslim majority Kashmir, adding, such so-called activists should not be allowed on the streets of Kashmir.
Mufti Azam said that this type of statements reflect western culture mindset, such persons should be given eighty lashes, adding, Kashmiris in majority follows the Sufi culture, teachings of Sheikh ul Alam (RA) and Lal Ded and such statements are contrary to our teaching and Quran as well. Mufti Azam appealed authorities to identify the accused and initiate a legal action against her.
On the other hand, Yana Mirchandani claiming herself a “journalist” and “Editor in Chief” of some news agency “Real Kashmir News” in her latest video said that her statement was presented in a wrong manner, adding, I seek apology if I have hurt the religious sentiment of masses.
