Mehjoor Day celebrated in Budgam

BUDGAM, APRIL 09(KMW): Mehjoor Day was celebrated in district Budgam at various places today. The main function in this connection was held at Sheikh-ul-Alam Hall Budgam which was jointly organized by local NGO, Cultural Educational and Environmental Organization Budgam and District Information Centre Budgam. A large gathering of school children, locals were present on the occasion.
District Development Commissioner Budgam was chief guest.
Many writers and poets who participated recited poems from Mehjoor’s poetry.
The speakers highlighted the contribution of the poet in giving new dimensions to Kashmir poetry and make it best asset of easy conversations.
On the occasion award of khilat was presented to distinguish personality for their role of serving humanity by the chief guest.
