Leh, Sept 22: The second day of Ladakh Festival 2025 began with an exciting Women’s Polo Match between Secmol and the Ladakh Women’s Polo Team at the Polo Ground, Leh. The event was inaugurated by Director of School Education, Ladakh, Tashi Dolma, who graced the occasion as the chief guest.
At the majestic Leh Palace, the exhibition “From Ruins to Revival – ASI Conservation & Archival Treasures” drew attention to Ladakh’s rich heritage and preservation efforts.
In the bustling Leh Market, multiple attractions delighted visitors:
Showcase of Biodiversity of Ladakh – An exhibition by Birds Club and WWF.
The Leh Book Worm – A special book expo on Ladakh, presented by the District Library Leh.
Dance performances by school students, adding vibrancy and cultural charm to the celebrations.
At Eco Park, Leh, An Exhibition of Handicraft, Handloom & Cuisines featured, Live skill displays of pottery, basket weaving, and shoemaking, authentic handicrafts and handlooms and Traditional Ladakhi cuisines prepared by women’s groups.
The day also witnessed DAFANGS – Traditional Archery of Ladakh, showcased at the Shenam Community Hall, Leh.
Adding to the thrill, a spectacular Paraglider Landing was witnessed at the Polo Ground, Leh.
As evening descended, the festival came alive with mesmerizing cultural performances by local artists and a special live concert by the Ladakh Scouts Band at Leh Market.
The day concluded on a magical note with “A Celestial Journey – An Astronomy Discovery in Leh’s Dark Sky” at Shanti Stupa, Leh, offering visitors a breathtaking stargazing experience.
