SRINAGAR, July 26: The constant efforts of Kashmir Tourism Department are bearing fruits as new tourist locations are being promoted.
In a recent great development, the Rs 5 crore multimedia laser show project for Nageen Lake was approved few days back in a meeting held at New Delhi under the Chairmanship of Union Secretary Tourism Yogendra Tripathi.
Principal Secretary Tourism, Navin Choudhary represented the State Government at the meeting.
During the meeting, Union Secretary directed completion of the project within 4-5 months time frame and added that the project upon completion will add to the beauty of the Lake.
On the occasion, the Principal Secretary said that the project will be completed by December 2019 and will become another major tourist attraction in and around the Srinagar city.
The meeting was also attended by Meenakshi Sharma, Joint Secretary Tourism GOI, Chairman ITDC, and other concerned senior officers.
The move is seen as another step by the Tourism Department of Kashmir to bring to life the water-bodies in Kashmir especially the picturesque lakes like Nageen.
“Nageen Lake represents our great beauty as a place and has a very rich history. The laser multimedia project at Nageen Lake would add charm to the beauty of Lake and attract scores of tourists to the venue. We lacked a laser show at a tourist place and now due to the great efforts of Kashmir Tourism Department this will be a reality. It is a very breath taking development and we are happy, “Remarked Abdul Ahad, a local stated while talking to the Kashmir Media Watch .
As a matter of fact, since decades Nageen Lake located near a world famous Hazratbal Shrine area has been center of attraction and now people are in all praise for the Kashmir Tourism Department marvelous efforts in ensuring that Nageen Lake gets world class laser system slated to attract millions towards this unique thing.
Definitely the mood is upbeat among stakeholders on learning news of laser Show at Nageen Lake.
