Kargil Schools Celebrate ‘Sewa Parv 2025’ with Fortnight of Community Service, Art and Cultural Activities

Kargil Schools Celebrate ‘Sewa Parv 2025’ with Fortnight of Community Service, Art and Cultural Activities

Kargil, October 04: Schools across Kargil district marked  Sewa Parv 2025 with a fortnight of activities from September 17 to October 2, highlighting the national theme  Viksit Bharat Ke Rang, Kala Ke Sang. The celebrations aimed to promote community service, cultural heritage, and the vision of a developed India.

Students and teachers from government and private schools undertook cleanliness drives, awareness campaigns on health and the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan, and plantation programmes. Interschool painting competitions, wall art exhibitions, and cultural activities showcased themes of women-led progress, sustainability, and national pride. Special remedial classes were also organized for Class 10 and 12 students to support underperformers, while donation drives for collectuon of books and clothes for underprivileged children were also conducted.

At the district level, the Tourism Department Kargil and Ladakh Academy of Art, Culture & Languages organized a major interschool painting competition at Government Higher Secondary School Baroo on October 1, with over 25 schools participating. The celebrations concluded on Gandhi Jayanti with a large-scale  Swachhata Hi Sewa  drive at Kurbathang, led by district administration officials, students, and community volunteers.

Officials said the activities instilled civic consciousness, team spirit, and environmental responsibility among students while strengthening community engagement. The Chief Education Officer, Kargil, commended the efforts of schools, teachers, students, and local stakeholders for making Sewa Parv 2025 a meaningful success.
