JK reports 635 new positive cases, 293763 recovered so far

JAMMU, JUNE 16: The Government on Wednesday informed that 635 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 193 from Jammu division and 442 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 309361. Also, 12COVID-19 deaths have been reported,06 from Jammu Division and 06 from Kashmir Division.

Moreover, 1649 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 541 from Jammu Division and 1108 from Kashmir Division.

No new confirmed case of mucormycosis has been reported today, bringing the cumulative no of confirmed cases to 21 in the UT of J&K.

Besides this, 77.12 percent of population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across the Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 309361 positive cases, 11381 are Active Positive, 293763 have recovered and 4217 have died; 2053 in Jammu division and 2164 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 9304004 test results available, 8994643 samples have been tested as negative till 16th June, 2021.

Till date 2267717 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 51193 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 11381 in isolation and 170284 in home surveillance. Besides, 2030642 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 68650 positive cases (including 129 cases reported today) with 1784 Active Positive, 66051 recovered (including 218 cases recovered today), 815 deaths; Baramulla has 22845 positive cases (including 64 cases reported today)with 913 Active Positive, 21658 recovered (including 125 cases recovered today), 274 deaths; Budgam reported 22028  positive cases (including 76 cases reported today)with 852 active positive cases, 20976 recovered (including 156 cases recovered today), 200 deaths; Pulwama has 14536 positive cases (including 27 cases reported today)with 1095 Active Positive, 13257 recovered (including 95 cases recovered today)and 184 deaths; Kupwara has 13415 positive cases (including 26 cases reported today), 702 Active Positive, 12557 recoveries (including 80 cases recovered today), 156 deaths;  Anantnag district has 15640 positive cases (including 49 cases reported today)with 611 Active Positive, 14834 recovered (including 189 cases recovered today), 195 deaths;  Bandipora has 9058 positive cases (including 23 cases reported today), with 337 Active Positive and 8623 recoveries (including 18 cases recovered today), 98 deaths; Ganderbal has 9336 positive cases (including 17 cases reported today) with 327 Active Positive, 8934 recoveries (including 67 cases recovered today) and 75 deaths; Kulgam has 10773 positive cases (including 23 cases reported today)with 436 Active Positive, 10228 recoveries (including 108 cases recovered today) and 109 deaths while as Shopian has 5516 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today), 134 active positive cases, 5324 recoveries (including 52 cases recovered today) and 58 deaths.

Similarly, Jammu has 52101 positive cases (including 54 cases reported today) with 1309 active positive cases, 49674recoveries (including 166 cases recovered today), 1118 deaths; Udhampur has 11036 positive cases (including 22cases reported today), 204active positive cases, 10701 recoveries (including25 cases recovered today)and131deaths; Rajouri has 10475 positive cases (including 19 cases reported today)with 352active positive, 9915recoveries (including 96 cases recovered today)and 208deaths; Doda has 6467 positive cases (including 32cases reported today)with810Active positive, 5556recovered (including 75 cases recovered today)and 101deaths; Kathua has 9101 positive cases (including 16 cases reported today), 101 active positive cases, 8851recovered(including 31 cases recovered today) and 149deaths; Kishtwar has 4280 positive cases (including 09 cases reported today)with 137 Active Positive, 4103 recoveries (including 10 cases recovered today)and40 deaths; Samba has 7011 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today)with 192 active positive cases, 6701recoveries (including 42cases recovered today)and 118 deaths; Poonch has 5906 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today)with611active positive, 5209recoveries (including 79 cases recovered today) and 86 deaths; Ramban has 5652 positive cases (including 24 cases reported today)with338 active positive cases, 5254 recoveries and 60 deaths while Reasi has 5535 positive (including 00 cases reported today)with 136 active positive cases, 5357 recoveries (including17 cases recovered today)and 42 deaths.
