JAMMU, MAY 19: The Government on Wednesday informed that 3969 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19),1375from Jammu division and 2594from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 255888. Also 62 COVID-19 deaths have been reported,39 from Jammu Division and 23 from Kashmir Division.
Moreover, 4338 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 1385 from Jammu Division and 2953 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 255888 positive cases, 50494 are Active Positive, 202039 have recovered and 3355have died; 1571in Jammu division and 1784 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 8045445test results available, 7789557 samples have been tested as negative till 19thMay, 2021.
Till date 1992257 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 75782 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 50494 in isolation and 127783in home surveillance. Besides, 1734843 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 59866 positive cases (including 675 cases reported today) with 7328 Active Positive, 51829recovered (including 1130cases recovered today), 709 deaths; Baramulla has 18723 positive cases (including 371 cases reported today)with 2785Active Positive, 15709recovered (including 430 cases recovered today), 229 deaths; Budgam reported 17263 positive cases (including411 cases reported today)with 4302 active positive cases, 12805 recovered (including 326cases recovered today), 156 deaths; Pulwama has 11185 positive cases (including 171 cases reported today)with2430Active Positive, 8613recovered (including 227 cases recovered today)and 142 deaths; Kupwara has 9806 positive cases (including 190 cases reported today), 1764 Active Positive, 7915recoveries (including 160 cases recovered today), 127 deaths; Anantnag district has 12242 positive cases (including 311 cases reported today)with 4285 Active Positive, 7815recovered (including 118 cases recovered today), 142 deaths; Bandipora has 7337 positive cases (including113 cases reported today), with1014Active Positive and 6242 recoveries (including 183cases recovered today),81 deaths; Ganderbal has 7284 positive cases (including 118cases reported today)with 1063Active Positive, 6156 recoveries (including 124 cases recovered today)and65deaths; Kulgam has 8263 positive cases (including 149 cases reported today)with 3442 Active Positive, 4737recoveries (including143 cases recovered today)and 84 deaths while as Shopian has 4727 positive cases (including 85 cases reported today),1109active positive cases, 3569 recoveries (including 112 cases recovered today)and49 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 45850 positive cases (including 493 cases reported today) with 7880 active positive cases, 37086recoveries (including 492 cases recovered today), 884 deaths; Udhampur has 9496 positive cases (including 154cases reported today), 1840active positive cases, 7550 recoveries (including112 cases recovered today)and106 deaths; Rajouri has 8465 positive cases (including 142 cases reported today)with 3432active positive, 4890recoveries (including 128 cases recovered today)and 143deaths; Doda has 4895 positive cases (including 64cases reported today)with1012Active positive, 3808 recovered (including 21 cases recovered today)and 75 deaths; Kathua has 7746 positive cases (including 158 cases reported today), 1335 active positive cases, 6303recovered(including 231cases recovered today) and 108deaths; Kishtwar has 3637 positive cases (including 25 cases reported today)with 406 Active Positive, 3205 recoveriesand26 deaths; Samba has 5955 positive cases (including 112 cases reported today)with 2241 active positive cases, 3622 recoveriesand 92 deaths; Poonch has 4512 positive cases (including 106 cases reported today)with1376active positive, 3068recoveries (including 101 cases recovered today)and 68 deaths; Rambanhas 3985 positive cases (including 68 cases reported today)with807 active positive cases, 3135 recoveries (including 171 cases recovered today)and 43 deaths while Reasi has 4651 positive (including 53 cases reported today)with 643 active positive cases, 3982 recoveries (including129 cases recovered today)and 26 deaths.
