Srinagar: J&K Bank has started registration for this year’s Shri Amanathji Yatra. A total of 3, 56,400 yatris will be registered for the holy Yatra through 121 designated business units of the Bank across the country.
Arvind Gupta, Bank’s Vice President for Jammu Central Zone formally inaugurated the registration process today from Bank’s counter at Residency Road, Jammu. First Yatra Permits were issued to one Ujwal Sharma & Vicky Bhan.
Yatris can get themselves registered for any day of the Yatra strictly as per ‘first come first serve basis’ on the designated business units of the bank. Notably, in Jammu division, the registration facilities shall be available at Bakshi Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Kathua Main, Udhampur, Ramban, Rajouri , Poonch and Doda business units of the bank. An average of 270 yatris will be registered through these business units per day with 135 each for Baltal & Pahalgam routes for the duration of 55 days of the yatra. The yatra will commence from June 28, 2013 and will culminate on August 21, 2013.
“For registration the Yatris will have to submit prescribed Compulsory Health Certificate from the authorized doctor/medical institution along with application form and four photographs. The registration fee for each Yatra Permit will be Rs.30/-,†said the vice president of the bank.
The timing of registration will be between 3 P.M. to 6 P.M. on all working days. However, on Saturday it will be done from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M.
