Intra-Mural Sports competitions in Volleyball, Kho-Kho conclude at Sankoo Campus, GDC Kargil

Kargil, April 11: Intra-Mural Sports competitions in Volleyball and Kho-Kho, concluded on Friday at Sankoo Campus, Govt. Degree College Kargil which was conducted and managed by Mohd. Hassan Hadire, Sports Coordinator, Sankoo Campus. 

The Intra-Mural Sports Competitions for the academic year 2024–25 in Volleyball (Men’s & Women’s) and Women’s Kho-Kho at the Sankoo Campus, commenced in November 2024. however, due to harsh winter and snowfall, the final matches were postponed and concluded with the much-anticipated finals in both men’s and women’s volleyball.

The competitions witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various semesters, reflecting the vibrant sports culture of the campus.

On the final day, thrilling volleyball matches captivated the audience. In the men’s category, Mix Sem Smashers faced off against Mix Sem Warriors, with the Smashers emerging victorious in a nail-biting 3–2 finish. In the women’s final, Yellow Smashers delivered a commanding performance against Green Smashers, winning the match in straight sets (3–0).

The matches began at 11:30 AM and concluded by 3:30 PM, showcasing exemplary sportsmanship, energy, and team spirit.

The event was honored by the presence of the  Nodal Officer, Dr Saleem Ahmad, who congratulated all the participants and awarded trophies and medals to the winners. Refreshments were also distributed to all the players and officials to celebrate the successful conclusion of the tournament.

The college administration extended heartfelt thanks to all participants, staff, and organizers whose commitment and efforts made this event a memorable success.
