New Delhi: India and Pakistan today began their Foreign Secretary level talks at which the issue of bringing culprits of Mumbai terror attack to book is going to be raised forcefully by India.

Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai is expected to provide
his Pakistani counterpart Jalil Abbas Jilani the evidence
based on the statements made by Lashkar-e-Taiba operative Abu Jundal.
Mr Jilani, who arrived here yesterday afternoon, upset New Delhi by holding talks with Kashmiri separatists ahead of his official talks.
Besides the Mumbai terror issues, other important things on
today’s agenda are peace and security including Confidence Building Measures (CBMs), Jammu and Kashmir and promotion of friendly exchanges.
The talks are part of the resumed peace dialogue between the two countries.
After today’s delegation level talks, Mr Jilani is also
scheduled to call on External Affairs Minister S M Krishna.
After his arrival here, Mr Jilani told reporters at the
airport, ”I have been mandated by the leadership to move this peace process forward.”
