Grantha Ghar at Lalchowk Srinagar is a historical spot of Kashmir Valley. The clock tower was built in front of the Valley’s well-known missionary school, Tyndale Biscoe.
The Ghanta Ghar or the famous Clock Tower located in city centre, Lal Chowk, is an eyewitness to Jammu and Kashmir’s turbulent political history since 1947. It is also a witness to a lot of historical events.
Due to presence of dozens of stray dogs at Ghanta Ghar Park it is not only giving a bad look but making sitting in the park or walking through it impossible.
Common people are aghast that Srinagar Municipal Corporation has failed to
check the menace of stray dogs even at the historical Gantha Ghar pavement Park.
The concrete park which is nicknamed as “Carbon Park ” in Gantha Ghar hosts scores of people who take a nap or sit there after long work in city but unchecked stray dogs is making it hell for masses .
