Srinagar, 11 March(KMW): A Hurriyat Conference delegation led People’s Political Party ( PPP) Chairman and Senior leader, Hurriyat Conference , Engineer Hilal Ahmed War was detained by a heavy contingent of police near Children’s Hospital, Sonwar.
War was leading a delegation of Hurriyat members that was on its way to Shopian to visit the families of the killed by army on Sunday. 4 civilians and two militants were killed by the army in what many allege were extra-judicial killings.
War was assigned the task of visiting the bereaved families by Hurriyat (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
When the Hurriyat delegation took off from Hurriyat head office, they were confronted by a heavy contingent of police at Sonawar and lodged in Police Station Rambagh.
