Hema Malini injured in a road accident, 2-year-old killed mishap

New Delhi, July 2: Veteran actress and BJP MP Hema Malini met with a road accident near Dausa, over 50 km from here in Rajasthan, late on Thursday evening. According to reports, a 2-year-old girl was killed in the mishap.
The actress was on her way to Jaipur when her Mercedez car collided with an Alto. She was rushed to Fortis Hospital in Jaipur with head injuries. The veteran actress was driving from Mathura to Jaipur. Her driver has also sustained leg injuries in the accident.
Four persons including two women were who were in the other car were injured too and have been admitted to Dausa hospital. The deceased girl was also from this family.
Doctors at the Fortis hospital said she suffered injuries on the forehead and a CT scan and other tests were being conducted.
“The accident occurred on national highway 11 near Dausa Midway at around 9 p.m. when the car in which Hema Malini was travelling collided with another car. One five-year old was killed who was in the other car. Four others who were injured in the accident have been admitted in Dausa hospital,” a police official said.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje tweeted about the incident. The tweet read, “Deeply saddened by the news of Dausa accident. I pray for the victims?. We’re making all efforts to provide immediate relief & medical care.”
