JAMMU, MARCH 03(KMW): Following the Cabinet decision yesterday regarding immediate establishment of Swine Flu (H1N1) testing laboratory at Government Medical College, Jammu the Planning & Development Department today released Rs 6.30 Crore in favour of the Health & Medical department for the purpose.
In another order, Rs 5.635 Cr was released for establishing H1N1 testing Facility at Chest Disease Hospital, Srinagar.
The Cabinet had taken a serious view of the non-availability of testing facilities for H1N1 in Jammu and had ordered for the immediate establishment of a testing facility at GMC, Jammu. Besides, the Cabinet had also directed to start a 2nd H1N1 testing facility at the Chest Disease Hospital, Srinagar.
