Srinagar, FEBRUARY 15: Governor N.N. Vohra will be on a day long visit to Srinagar on 16th February to review the overall security situation in Kashmir Valley with top officers of Civil, Police, Central Armed Police Forces, Army and the Intelligence Agencies. He will also inspect the ongoing dredging works on river Jhelum.
A Raj Bhavan spokesperson informed that the Governor will also interact with the stakeholders of Trade, Tourism and Industry sectors to discuss the various problems faced by them.
Governor has separately sought detailed report from DGP on the Pulwama incident in which two youth lost their lives yesterday and directed that the Magisterial Enquiry by Additional District Magistrate must be completed within the stipulated time frame. Shri Vohra has also directed the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir to visit SMHS Hospital at Srinagar where the injured persons have been admitted for treatment and extend all necessary assistance to the families of the victims as well as those injured in yesterday’s incident.
