Srinagar: Â Police on Tuesday night arrested a former militant of Hizbul Mujahideen from Kakpora area of South Kashmirâ€™s Pulwama district, Official sources told Â Wednesday.

They said Showkat Ahmed, son of Ghulam Mohammad Kucchay of Humhama area of Budgam district was arrested by Special Operations Group (SOG) of police during a raid at the residence of Ghulam Qadir, son of Abdul Khaliq Dar at Kakpora last night. In past, Showkat was associated with Hizb.
