Executive Councillor Zakir Hussain Flags Off Farmers’ Exposure Visit to Leh

Kargil, September 15: Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Zakir Hussain today flagged off a five-day training and exposure visit of farmers to Leh, organized by the Department of Horticulture, Kargil under the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) 2025-26.

A total of 45 farmers from different regions of Kargil district are participating in this exposure tour. The initiative aims to enhance their knowledge, skills, and practical experience in modern horticulture practices, enabling them to adopt innovative techniques and improve productivity back home.

The flag-off ceremony was graced by Executive Councillor Zakir Hussain along with Chief Horticulture Officer Kargil, Raza Ali, Horticulture Development Officer Kargil, Horticulture Officer Batalik, and Horticulture Development Officer Chiktan, who extended their best wishes to the participants.

 The aim of such program is empowering farmers with advanced technical skills.
