Srinagar, April 4: In order to explore interventional authoritative patient care possibilities DHSK today made an extensive tour of district Anantnag and Pulwama. While taking on spot stock of new building SDH Dooru and machinery equipment meant for better patient care facilities Ophthalmology and Dental Sections we’re got shifted and made on spot functional. While interacting with the patients and attendants smiling gestures evolved a positive response. The patients had a sigh of relief within the new scientific environmental sections of health facility. Delegations who met DHSK at SDH Dooru requested for making other facilities also available. On spot instructions we’re given to CMO Anantnag and MS to ensure shifting and functioning of other sections in the interest of patient care besides starting of theatre. DHSK visited SDH Shangus where staff was present. She interacted with patients and met delegations who were assured every possible facility at the said hospital. BMO informed about the minor procedures being performed at the said facility. Dr Kunzes Dilma also visited SDH Achabal were the facility was not maintained and on spot instructions we’re issued to CMO to ask BMO Achabal ensure facility maintenance, section wise staff position, uniform code and above all standard operating procedure were prescription should reflect case history of the patient as as was revealed from one of the patients prescription. CMO was asked to make frequent tours for ensuring utilization of infrastructure, human resource augmentation and implementation of SoPs in the interest of patient care. DHSK also visited DH Anantnag where she interacted with the patients and their attendants. She inspected each and every section of the hospital those were functional and well maintained. She interacted with the staff and other employees of the hospital. Paying a surprise visit to SDH Bijbehara it was found that sections we’re functional and facilities we’re extended to patients admitted in the hospital wards. DHSK interacted with the staff in order to ensure exploration of their skills in the interest of patient. CMO was asked to direct BMO Bijbehara to ensure SOPs are in place while serving the public at large. Dr Kunzes Dilma also visited PHC Awantipora Pulwama were directions were issued to Medical Officer on duty to ensure sanctity of profession and sections are maintained and managed with proper placement of staff as per their skill placement. While inspecting SDH Pampore One medical officer was found absent and the other medical officer on duty had violated CSR and was directed to ensure dress code is maintained and patients who visit the facility are treated and managed as per standard operating procedures which he was found neglecting. He was on spot directed for ensuring capacity building professional skills while interacting or projecting information to officers who visit for supervision or monitoring of patient care facilities. Social Activists, delegations who met Dr Kunzes Dolma expressed hope of improvements in treatment and management of patient care and said her message of human values shall definitely bear fruits in the near future.
