DLSA Kargil organise 3rd National Lok Adalat at District and Tehsil level

Kargil, September 13: As per the direction of Ladakh Legal Services Authority, the District Legal Services Authority Kargil organized 3rd National Lok Adalat today on 13th of September 2025. 

The Pre Lok Adalat Sessions had commenced from 3rd of September to 12th of September, in which three benches where constituted to resolve the different kinds of cases through amicable settlement and compromise, pending in all the courts of district Kargil, like Criminal Compoundable Matters, Civil disputes, Cheque bounce Cases under NI Act, Bank Recovery Cases, MACT, Labour cases, Matrimonial Issues, Compoundable Electricity and Water Bills, land Acquisition cases, Revenue cases, Municipal Cases, BSNL Bills, Traffic matters, Pre Litigation cases etc, at District Headquarter Kargil.

The first bench was presided over by Ms. Spalzes Angmo Ld. Chairman DLSA/PDSJ

Kargil, the second bench was presided over by Mr. Wangial Tsering Ld. CJM Kargil, and the third bench was presided over by Mr. Chemit Yurgyal Ld. Secretary DLSA Kargil.

Similarly, National Lok Adalat were also held at the Tehsil Levels at Sankoo and Drass. At

Sankoo the bench was presided over by Ld. Chairman TLSC Sankoo Ms. Deldan Angmo and at Drass the bench was presided over by Ld. Chairman TLSC Drass Mr. Sadiq Ali Wazir.

A total number 431 cases were referred to the National Lok Adalat out of the same total number of 402 cases were disposed off and out of the same an amount of Rs. 50,62,750 /- was recovered as settlement amount and Rs. 2,03,200/- was realized as fine.
