The District Tobacco Control Cell (NTCP) Kargil organized an awareness program titled “Tobacco-Free Youth Campaign 3.0” at the Multi-Purpose Hall of Government Boys’ Higher Secondary School, Kargil, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 300 students and staff members.
Mr. Masood Ahmad, District Consultant, DTCC Kargil, served as the keynote speaker and delivered an impactful talk on the harmful effects of tobacco. He urged students to become ambassadors of a tobacco-free society by spreading awareness through social media and short reels, emphasizing collective responsibility in making Kargil a tobacco-free district.
Lt. Mohmad Hussain, Vice Principal of the host school, highlighted the dangers of drug and substance abuse, encouraging students to make healthy choices for a better future.
The event was anchored by Mr. Mohmad Abbas, Physical Education Lecturer, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Lt. Hussain, who appreciated NTCP Kargil for its efforts in promoting a healthier, tobacco-free community.
