POONCH, NOVEMBER 30: Deputy Chairman, J&K Legislative Council, Mr Jahangir Hussain Mir today adopted Government Higher Secondary School Salamabad located near LoC and assured his full cooperation and commitment towards developing infrastructure and improving facilities in the school.
Executive Engineer R&B, Mushtaq Raina accompanied the Deputy Chairman during his visit. He was instructed to immediately take up the repair work on the link road to HSS Salamabad and laboratory blocks besides completing the school building and work on the compound wall.
The Deputy Chairman commended the efforts of the School Principal and his team for giving due attention on promoting co-curricular activities. He also appreciated staff and parents for encouraging girl students to come forward and participate in various co-curricular activities.
He said that a comprehensive plan has been formulated to improve the standard of education in the state.
Mr. Mir also distributed sweaters and note books among the underprivileged students of the school.
