JAMMU, DECEMBER11- The Government on Friday informed that 434 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 202 from Jammu division and 232 from Kashmir division, have been reported today thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 115207. Also 11 COVID-19 deaths have been reported; 07 from Jammu division and 04 from Kashmir Division.
Moreover,422 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 226 from Jammu Division and 196 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 115207 positive cases, 4849 are Active Positive, 108572 have recovered and 1786 have died; 641 in Jammu division and 1145 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 3294008 test results available, 3178801 samples have been tested as negative till December11, 2020.
Till date 822335 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 22620 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 4849 in isolation and 27019 in home surveillance. Besides, 766061 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 24072 positive cases (including 98cases reported today) with 1135 Active Positive, 22504 recovered (including 100 cases recovered today), 433 deaths; Baramulla has 7693 positive cases (including 19 cases reported today) with 191 Active Positive, 7336 recovered (including 04 cases recovered today), 166deaths; Pulwama reported 5266 positive cases (including 17 case reported today) with 188 active positive cases, 4991 recovered (including 08 cases recovered today), 87 deaths; Kulgam has 2624 positive cases (including 01 case reported today) with 66 Active Positive, 2506 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today), 52 deaths; Shopian has 2405 positive cases (including 08 case reported today) with 87 Active Positive, 2281 recovered (including 03 cases recovered today) and 37 deaths; Anantnag district has 4652positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 125 Active Positive, 4445 recovered (including 05cases recovered today), 82 deaths; Budgam has 7255 positive cases (including 36 cases reported today) with 299 Active Positive and 6851 recovered (including 28 cases recovered today), 105 deaths; Kupwara has 5347 positive cases (including 25 cases reported today) with 193 Active Positive, 5067 recovered (including 21cases recovered today), 87 deaths; Bandipora has 4524 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 104 Active Positive, 4364 recovered (including 17 cases recovered today), 56 deaths and Ganderbal has 4327 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 163 active positive cases, 4124recoveries (including 08 cases recovered today)and 40 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 21954 positive cases (including 101 cases reported today) with 796 active positive cases, 20834 recoveries (including 107 cases recovered today), 324 deaths; Rajouri has 3676 positive cases (including 17 cases reported today) with 237 active positive cases, 3387 recovered (including 12 cases recovered today), 52 deaths; Ramban has 2025 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 91 active positive, 1913 recoveries and 21 deaths; Kathua has 2982 positive cases (including 28 cases reported today) with 125 Active positive, 2812 recovered (including 12 cases recovered today), 45 deaths; Udhampur has 3909 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 393 active positive cases, 3463 recovered (including 21 cases recovered today) and 53 deaths; Samba has 2607 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today) with 197 Active Positive, 2376 recoveriesand 34 deaths; Doda has 3274 positive cases (including 10 cases reported today) with 173 active positive cases, 3043 recoveries (including 09 cases recovered today), 58 deaths; Poonch has 2417 positive cases (including 02cases reported today) with 35 active positive, 2360 recoveries (including 04 cases recovered today), 22 deaths; Reasi has 1555 positive cases with 98 active positive, 1446recoveries and 11 deaths while Kishtwar has 2643 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 153 active positive cases and 2469 recoveries (including 61 cases recovered today) and 21 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 115207 positive cases in J&K, 10965 have been reported as travelers while 104242 as others.
The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
The bulletin added that there are 1321 COVID dedicated beds, 1185 Isolation beds with 1017 vacant beds and 136 ICU beds where 67 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 2345 COVID dedicated beds, 2197 Isolation beds where 1852 beds are vacant and 148 ICU beds where 121 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are total of 3666 COVID dedicated beds, 3382 Isolation beds with 2869 beds vacant and 284 ICU beds with 188 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Central Government is continuously monitoring the evolving situation of Covid-19 in the Union Territory and is providing all necessary support towards effective containment of the spread of Covid-19 and better clinical management of positive cases.
