Beijing, Aug 17 Beijing and Washington are in contact over US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo’s possible visit to China, Chinese Commerce Ministry spokeswoman Shu Jueting said on Thursday.
“China welcomes Raimondo’s visit to China. At present, China and the United States are in close contact regarding the upcoming visit,” Shu said at briefing in response to a request to confirm that the US minister may visit China in August.
She also noted that any additional information will be published in a timely manner.
