JAMMU, MARCH 13(KMW): Mufti Muhammad Sayeed, Chief Minister, met Mr. N. N. Vohra, Governor, here at the Raj Bhavan today. This was Mr. Sayeed’s first formal meeting with the Governor after being sworn in as the Chief Minister of J&K.
According to a statement issued to KMW, The Governor and the Chief Minister discussed a number of important matters relating to appointments and ages of retirement of faculties in the Universities and institutions of higher education, eradication of inefficiency, non-performance and corruption from the administrative apparatus and measures envisaged by the Government to speed up socio-economic development.
The Governor and Chief Minister agreed to meet at regular intervals for discussing important issues.
