Chhari Mubharak leaves for Mandi from Poonch

POONCH: The Annual Chhari Mubharak of lord Shiva leaves for Mandi on the last leg of Budha Amarnath Yatra from here this morning with participation of thousands of devotees from across the state.

Nearly 30,000 devotees including women and children of all communities participated in the procession amid chanting of hymens and religious slogans which was led by 1008 Swami Vishva , Atma Anand Ji Maharaj – the head Swami a Shri Dashanami Akhara Mandir Poonch .
Prior to it a special interactive function was held under the Chairmanship of Swami Ji where in Mos power, & CAPD Mr. Shabir Ahmad Khan, MP Doda-Kathua Ch. Lal Singh, MLA Haveli Mr. Ajaz Ahmed Jan, DDC Syed Anwar Hussain Shah, SP Poonch, 93 Inf Brigadier Mr MK Mago, Sr. Officers of District Administration, members of religious Management committee of Poonch, Advocates, representatives of Sr. Ram Dass Seva Ji Society Poonch and Sadhus hailing from all over the country participated.
At the interactive session MOS- CA & PDS appreciated the creation of community based infrastructure by Swami Ji. He conveyed his heartfelt greetings to the people on Raksha Bandha and offered all help to resolve power problems in Poonch.
MP Ch. Lal Singh highlighted rich Culture of Poonch and said the brave people of this District have always exhibited great communal harmony and worked to strengthen brotherhood and mutual love and affection among all communities. He also offered all out help for promotion of community work in capacity as MP. Similar views were expressed by MLA Poonch.
Swami Ji in his presidential address said , Mahan Pursh (Sants) see God in all Living things therefore work for peace, Sukh, Santi ,Brotherhood and preach doctrines of prem, Ekta and Shanti. They avoid cult of hatred and their work leaves its impact for decades to come. He appreciated wisdom and co–existence propensity of Poonch people, who participate in bulk in the religious functions of all communities, shower flowers over animal Chahari procession ,install Stalls of eatable enroots . He further said men and women try to get a chance to wash utensils of langers and feel pride to serve Yatries in their individual capacities also. He said there are only a few places in India where one can find this spirit of service.
Swami Ji hailed the activists of voluntary organisations, who helped in Yatra management, Distt. Administration Poonch, who made fool proof arrangement for security, transportation, accommodation and other related arrangements for smooth conduct of this Yatra
Earlier “Chhari Poojan “was performed at 7.00 am at Shree Dashnami Akhara Mandhir today. (KMW News)
