The CEC directed the Irrigation Department to immediately restore the major irrigation canals and instructed the BDO to clear and restore the smaller khuls (local water channels) in the affected areas. He further directed that these temporary restoration works be carried out under various departmental schemes to support the local population and safeguard the standing crops.

Dr. Akhoon also stressed that basic needs such as drinking water and electricity must be restored on priority so that the local residents do not face further hardships.

Separately, the CEC reviewed the construction of the Sherkad Nala, a ₹16-crore project under the Special Development Package (SDP), and was informed that the tendering process is in its final stage. He also suggested that the R&B Division Sankoo take up the construction of the Kalwat Multi-Span Bridge to improve connectivity.
