Kargil, October 11: Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today inaugurated multiple developmental projects worth several crores in Kargil.
The CEC was accompanied by Executive Councilor Aga Syed Mujtaba, Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC Kargil, Rakesh Kumar, SSP Kargil Shree Raam R., Executive Engineer R&B Mohammad Sadiq, and other concerned officers.
Dr. Akhoon inaugurated the newly constructed VIP Guest House at the Council Secretariat, Kurbathang, built at an estimated cost of ₹6.53 crore. The project was executed by the R&B Department under the District CAPEX budget. The guest house comprises two VIP suites with attached bathrooms, 16 single suites, and is equipped with several modern facilities to accommodate official guests and dignitaries.
Later, the CEC also inaugurated a Parking-cum-Canteen Complex, including a public convenience facility, at the DC Office premises, Baroo, constructed at a cost of ₹1.92 crore under the District CAPEX and executed by R&B Sub-Division Kargil-II.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Akhoon highlighted the Council’s commitment to strengthening public infrastructure and improving civic amenities across the district. He appreciated the efforts of the concerned departments for timely completion and urged them to maintain quality standards in all ongoing and upcoming projects.
