Cache recovered from hideout in Reasi

Jammu, KMW News: Security forces recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from a natural hideout in mountainous Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here today said.

“Based on a tip-off, police and security forces last evening launched a search operation in Chalad village of Mahore tehsil in Reasi district and busted a natural hideout,” official sources added.

They said the troops recovered the cache of ammunition from the hideout.

The recovery included one double barrel gun, 273 rounds of AK-47, one pistol with magazine and 34 rounds, three UBGL grenades, two bombs, three Ak-47 magazines, 15 rounds of SLR, three radio sets.

“The area was cordoned off and the searches were being conducted in the area,” they added.
