Srinagar: Grief-stricken Begum Khalida Shah, President Awami National Conference has expressed her grief and anguish at the unfortunate fire incident at the Holy Shrine of Gousulazam Hazrat Sheikh Mohiuddin Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA) at Khanyar, Srinagar which has deeply hurt Lakhs of believers. In a statement issued to the press she said that the shrine housed some Holy relics of the great Sufi Muslim Saint who preached Humanity and universal brotherhood.” It is indeed a very sad day “He preached to shun the evil and adopt the righteous path. She demanded a thorough probe into the unfortunate incident and unearth the reasons behind this mishap. ANC Sr. Vice President Mr. Muzaffar Shah also expressed his deep anguish and grief on this unfortunate incident and called it a great spiritual and heritage loss. He said that the complaint of the eye witnesses about the late arrival and shortage of water in the fire tenders should also be probed.
