Amarnath Yatra registration to begin from May 8

Jammu: Registration for annual pilgrimage to Shri Amarnath Cave Shrine situated in South Kashmir Himalayas would officially commence from May 8.

“All necessary formalities for start of registration has been completed,” official sources here today said.

They said the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB), which mans yatra to holy cave shrine, has designated branches of Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Yes Bank, Cooperative Banks and 100 Post Offices for registration.

“Places where there were no branches of the designated banks, Post Offices have been asked for registration,” they added.

An official Amarnath pilgrimage would begin on June 25 and culminate on August 2.
