Srinagar, July 02 (KMW): With the resignation of Dr Aziz Hajni as President Adbe Markaz Kamraz, the organization is likely to elect former speaker Legislative Assembly and National Conference senior leader Muhammad Akbar Lone, as the President of the umbrella group of 22 literally organizations.
Speaking to Only Kashmir, a senior member of the organization on the basis of anonymity said “with the departure of Hajni Sahib, there is lack of nominees for the post; however someone on facebook suggests the name of Akbar Lone because of his contribution towards the Kashmiri languages.”
“His historical debate in Kashmiri language with the late PDP leader Molvi Iftikar Hussain Ansari on the floor of the Assembly can never be forgotten, adding, his day to day statements also known as Kalam-e-Akbar make him more suitable to elect him as the president of Adbe Markaz Kamraz.”
The member said we have a policy to choose the president from only the North Kashmir, and coincidentally Akbar Lone also residing of same area.
When asked is it permit in the organizational constitution to elect a political figure as the president, the member said that we are totally apolitical, we fear only the reaction of Hurriyat (M) senior leader Prof Abdul Gani Bhat as he is the only suitable person for the post being a founding member of Adbe Markaz Kamraz.
Pertinently Following the appointment of Dr Aziz Hajni as the secretary Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, forced him to resign from the presidential ship of Adbe Markaz Kamraz.
