Srinagar, Oct 6: Dukhtaran-e-Millat Thursday while reacting to CM Mehbooba’s meeting with Indian PM Modi wherein she asked him to put balm on the injuries of Kashmiris, said that PDP has been talking about healing touch for long now and instead of healing touch they have been serving Kashmiris with bullets and pellets. “Asking the ‘murderers’ for putting a balm on the injuries is ridiculous and highly condemnable,” General Secretary DeM Nahida Nasreen said in a statement to news agency.
She said Kashmiris do not need a balm on injuries but complete freedom from India. “We have sacrificed more than one lac youth while thousands of others have been injured. Thousands of youth have disappeared while thousands of women have become widows.”
She said that the best balm for the people of Kashmir is to end the ‘illegal Indian occupation’ and let the people of Kashmir decide their future by choice.
“If Mehbooba wants to put balm on the injuries inflicted on the people of Kashmir, she should immediately resign from the pro-India politics and join us to fight against India,” Nahida said.
Suggesting local police to introspect, she said that: “Police have been using all the murderous tactics to suppress the people and have actively tried to sabotage the present movement. Yesterday 18 boys of Hajin were arrested from Rajbagh area of Srinagar city,” the DeM general secretary said.
She also expressed gratitude to the Pak premier Nawaz Shareef for reiterating that Pakistan is committed to the Kashmir cause.
Meanwhile, the DeM general secretary said that its chairperson Syedah Aasiyah Andrabi and Sofi Fehmeeda have been booked under PSA. She said that despite ample space in Srinagar central jail, she was shifted to Baramulla sub jail in the dead of the night. “They want to break her resolve, however a lady who has been an inspiration for thousands of women will never break Insha Allah,” Nahida added.
