6 Huriyat (M) members joining Huriyat (G); No decision taken yet, issue to be discussed in Majlis-e- Shoora: Geelani

Srinagar, Apr 13: Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani Monday said they have not taken any decision over the reports of six general council members of Mirwaiz led Huriyat mulling to join his conglomerate.

Talking to a local news agency over phone from New Delhi Geelani said, “Neither I have any information about some members of Mirwaiz led faction wanting to join our conglomerate nor any decision over the issue has been taken so far. I don’t know anything about the six members of Huriyat (M) wanting to join our conglomerate. If there is any such development, it will be discussed in Majlis-e-Shoora (Advisory Council) ahead of the final decision in this regard.”
Earlier, the reports galore that the six general council members of the Mirwaiz led Huriyat have in a written intimation to Geelani’s Huriyat expressed their wish to join the amalgam. “Whatever decision in this regard would be taken, shall be made public but the so far the issue has not been discussed,” Geelani told.
He also confirmed the reports of his return on April 15, saying some media organization have wrongly reported his return date on April 16.
Refusing to divulge further information about the announcements he is going to make during the rally, being held at his arrival date, he said, “I can only say that there will be some important announcements being made during the rally.”
Earlier, the Huriyat (G) via advertisements asked people to attend the rally of Hurriyat (G) chairman scheduled to be held on April 15 here.
