Srinagar: Five persons including a student and woman were killed while twelve others were injured in separate road accidents across the Kashmir Valley, official sources told.They said a Santro (JK03B-6123) rammed into a poplar tree after the driver lost control of the vehicle near Chajhkote Pulwama in South Kashmir this afternoon. Two persons, Reyaz Gul son of Ghulam Mohammad of Khanabal and his mother-in-law, Raja Begum Wife of Abdul Aziz of Chak Anantnag, were killed in the accident.One more person travelling in the vehicle, Nazir Ahmad Bhat, was injured and has been hospitalized, they added.     In another accident, a minibus (JK03-3087) on its way from Anantnag to Awantipora turned turtle near Nambal Awantipora on Srinagar-Jammu Highway this morning, resulting into on the spot death of Ishfaq Ahmad, 12th grade student, son of Farooq Ahmad of Chursoo, Awantipora.  Eight passengers travelling in the vehicle were injured and two of the seriously injured persons were referred to SKIMS for specialized treatment.In yet another accident, a motorcycle (JK02H-5874) and Santro JK03B-2359) collided at Sethar Sangam, in the south Kashmir’s Anantnag district. Motorcyclist Ishfaq Ahmad Wani (25) son of Ghulam Mohammad and pillion mate Shahid Rasool (26) son of Ghulam Rasool, both residents of Kursoo Rajbagh were injured. The Injured were shifted to sub district hospital Bijbehara for treatment, where Ishfaq Ahmad Wani succumbed to his injuries while Shahid Rasool was referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment. A Taveera (JK01P-0520) hit and injured a pedestrian Bashir Ahmad Mir (45) son of Ghulam Nabi Mir of Chattabal near Police Housing Colony, Bemina. The Injured was shifted to SK Institute of Medical Sciences Soura for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries.
