02 died, 08 injured in road accidents

Srinagar, March 18(KMW): Two persons died while eight others were injured in different road accidents across the valley.
An Alto car bearing registration number JK05C/2926 hit a pedestrian Abdul Rashid son of Abdul Aziz resident of Buchoo at Buchoo, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Pattan, Baramulla, resulting his on spot death. Baramulla police has registered a case in this regard.
Meanwhile, a Maruti A-star car bearing registration number JK05D/7136 skidded off the road and rammed into a poplar tree at Choora, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Tarzoo, Sopore, resulting in injuries to 05 persons. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Among the injured Juneed-ul-Islam son of Bashir Ahmad Tantary resident of Sangrama succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital. Sopore police has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, a Load Carrier-407 vehicle bearing registration number JK13C/6441 hit and injured a pedestrian Ghulam Hassan Joo resident of Tangdar, at present Gulshan Nagar Nowgam near Ahmad Hospital, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Nowgam. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Srinagar police has registered a case in this regard.
An unknown Maruti car hit and injured a 07-year old baby Zenab daughter of Gulzar Ahmad Khan resident of Sulkote at Sulkote, Kupwara. The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment. Kupwara police has registered a case in this regard.
A Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK05C/2242, an Alto vehicle bearing registration number JK05B/3246 and a Swift car bearing registration number JK05D/9200 collided at Kanispora, Baramulla, resulting in injuries to 02 persons boarding the Swift car. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Baramulla police has registered a case in this regard.
