Jammu: Baba Amarnath and Buda Amarnath Yatri Niyas today started online registration for the pilgrims for the annual pilgrimage of Shri Amaranth.
“The process of online registration for this year’s Amarnath Yatra was inaugurated by Kailash Chander, North Region’s Organising Secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) after launching it through the website of BABA Yatri Niyas,” official spokesman in a handout issued here said.
He said the registration process of devotees has commenced from various counters established by the Yatri Niyas at all the Tehsil Headquarters in Jammu province since May 1, whereas online registration process has been started from today onwards.
“The registration forms can be collected from any of the centres established or downloaded from BABA Yatri Niyas’s official website, www.amarnathyatriniyas.org,’’ the spokesman added.
He said the registration should be done through a yatra permit which should be issued on the submission of yatra form at the office of BABA yatri Niyas in Jammu.
“Every pilgrim, who is registered through BABA Yatri Niyas, will also be provided an accidental insurance cover of Rs One lakh,’’ he added.
